Saying “No” is the ultimate self-care because you are taking care of yourself by establishing healthy boundaries and allowing yourself the time to say “Yes” to what you want more of in your life. In this episode, you will learn strategies for knowing when to be involved in or commit to something new and understand that you have a choice in what you say “No” and “Yes” to.  As a BURNED-IN Teacher, you must know how to take your power back and say "No" or "Yes" with confidence and keep yourself out of burnout.

In this episode you will:

  • Know how keeping up with your daily discipline and planning is important when setting boundaries for your time.
  • Understand the symptoms of a “people pleaser”
  • Understand how to contend with the “naysayers” when you start establishing healthy boundaries.
  • Get quick questions to ask yourself when you're deciding if you are deciding whether or not to say “Yes” or “No” to something

CALL TO ACTION: THINGS YOU CAN DO TOMORROW

  1. Analyze yourself: Do you have the “Disease to Please”?
  2. Reflect: do your core values match up with what is on your schedule?
  3. Look at what is on your schedule, both professional and personal, and determine what are some things that you can say “No” to in order to make room for things that match with your core values and goals.
