Throughout our teaching day, there are many moments where dark clouds roll in, blocking the rays of joy that keep us going, keep us motivated to reach our goals, and be our authentic selves. We’ve got to make sure that we take the action that we need to free our minds and to ignite that passion and purpose that’s deep inside of ourselves so we can keep showing up in our lives as the best version of ourselves.
In this episode, I interview Meredith Newlin AKA The Transformed Teacher as she tells her story of burnout and how The Transformed Teacher came to be, and how she has used BURNED-IN Teacher University to transform herself through her own hardships since October. Her story will prove to you that just because things are hard now, it doesn’t mean that things will always be this difficult and that you truly can be FREED TO TEACH.
Meredith Newlin is in her 16th year teaching and is the author of Captured Fireflies: Truths, Mistakes, And Other Gifts Of Being an English Teacher. She is also the creator of the Transformed Teacher podcast and online community, where her mission is to help teachers transform from overwhelmed to overjoyed by focusing on their personal well-being on every level.
