Are you always finding yourself saying “Yes” to everything?  Do you find it difficult, almost impossible, to say “No” when people ask you to do something? Being able to say “No” is the ultimate self-care because you are taking care of yourself by establishing healthy boundaries. When you are not establishing healthy boundaries for yourself and your time, you are opening the door to burnout.  Also, knowing when to say “No” and “Yes” is key to being able to extend your reach and possibilities.

In this episode, I go deep into when, how, and why you should say “Yes” or “No” to something.  You will learn strategies for knowing when to be involved or commit to something new. You have a choice and as a BURNED-IN Teacher, you have to know how to take your power back and say "No" or "Yes" with confidence and keep you out of burnout.

In this episode you will:

  • Know how keeping up with your daily discipline and planning is important when setting boundaries for your time. (10:00)
  • Know the signs if you have the “Disease to Please” (13:00)
  • Get steps to ask yourself to help you know when to say “Yes” to something. (20:00)
  • Understand how to contend with the “naysayers” when you start establishing healthy boundaries.  (24:15)
  • Get quick questions to ask yourself when you're deciding if you are deciding whether or not to say “Yes” or “No”. (29:30)
